M.o.t smoke figures higher than last year. 1.54 this year .94 last year .cataclean used twice a year. Can another additive be used? Is this turbo wear.car used on motorway regularly. I'd appreciate any advice. Vehicle has done 61000 miles. Vauxhall serviced

Yeah, and?

That means about 13k a year and it's only getting an oil change once a year, right?

Halve your oil change interval. And be certain you're using fully synth 5/40 or 5/30. Flush at each change - I use Comma Flush out (2 flushes per change each with half the tub). I'd recommend Mann filters too (keep a new filter just for the flushes).

Search ebay for Wynns Professional Turbo Cleaner from GSFs shop and give it a treat at each oil change.

And run it on BP Ultimate or Shell V Power diesel. It'll produce less particulates (cleaner oil and turbo turbine).
