The nature of the beast I suspect. My 306/ZX derived 2005 Mk 2 Berlingo has eaxctly the same issue. The cable intallation is lengthy in RHD applications and I suspect the internal mechanism gets heavier as the clutch wears.
I aclimatise to it until I drive the OH's Mk3 Berlingo with a featherweight hydraulic clutch.
Then I need to re-aclimatise..
