Ford Focus C-Max TDCi Zetec - 54 plate - Diesel Cars Service - Heathrow/Hemel area - kedar301

hi all,

Folloing multiple issues i am now looking for a good mechanic near Heathrow Airport or Hemel Hempstead area.

I need some one who can do Transmission service and Diesel service inc turbo,

Though there isnt any major issue with the car and its at 110K mark.

Some problems to mention here

1) Drag at 60-70mph speed - intermittent drag (could be transmission)

2) Slow acceleration i mean very slow this morning the pointer stuck at 35mph while the gas was on the floor for about 20 sec. (could be turbo or injector)

3) Leakage on the left hand side of engine seen quit a bit of oil accumulated around that area.

So overall i need to get my car serviced by a good mechanic.

Try Advanced Auto Technic in Langley near Slough. I used them to look after a Mondeos TDCi and found them very good. They know Ford diesels better than the main dealers IMO.

how expensive are they? being a Ford Specialist....

I think their labour rates were about two thirds those of the main dealers but that doesn't mean much. I never felt they were overcharging me or finding work that wasn't there. They recycled a DPF for me when they could have charged for a new one albeit at much less than a main dealer. Ring them and see how they deal with your enquiry, if they sound expensive move on!
