just a niggly matter really. Bought my son a 1.4 Golf a couple of months ago & as always with an older (2000) second hand car, there were a few things to put right; rear wiper motor, illumination bulbs etc.

The one thing we haven't been able to fix, is the cigarette lighter. Only need to use this for the occasional use of the sat nav.

Checked the fuse. Bought another unit, which we had to adapt the wiring, as this didn't come with a block connection. The bulb lights up, when the lights are switched on, though there is no power to the element.

Any ideas would be gratefully received.
