Peugeot 306 S16 1994 - New power steering suction pipe - harrymc

Hello

I wondered if a new formed hose is still available for our classic Pug. I would rather find the right profile than bend a straight hose around onto the pump. Another old one will likely be as hard and leaky as I have presently. Would this be a common hose for all 306s ?

Suction goes from the tank to the pump and has marking VRT 6/32/94 15X22

If there is such thing as new old stock of hoses like this .. otherwise, tell me I'm dreaming :-)

You might find something on E-bay, but sounds unlikely. As a member, I would suggest you look at the Club Peugeot UK website - perhaps join up - and ask the chairman to search for the part. If there is one, he should find it, he spent much of his working life in a Pug parts section.

Hose is a 4020PA. Now to see if I can find one ..

Pirtek is one of a number of companies that would be able to make a new replacement hose for you if you struggle to find one.

I had assumed Pirteck could only supply straight hose that wont bend around very well where it fits.

Do they have some magic to form hoses (without costing arms and legs) ?

I will contact them anyway. I am not having much success finding a 1994-era spare.

There’s a used reservoir and hose on E bay . £30 . May do the job .

Pirtek is one of a number of companies that would be able to make a new replacement hose for you if you struggle to find one.

At a serious cost, suggest look locally too, any place that supplies hydraulic hoses and fittings will be able to supply a suitable hose, hopefully utilising the existing end fittings if they are unique.

Think you’ll find this is a low pressure gravity feed hose to the pump. So it’s shaped rubber with some hose clips.

You should be able to find something on there that can be trimmed to fit, but put some decent branded hose clips on it.
