DRIVEWAY OIL STAINS. How do I get them off?
Suggestions from The Backroom at HJUK:
TARMAC DRIVES:
Jeyes Driveway Cleaner, used neat, scrubbed in with a broom, then hosed off with water or pressure washed off. Use pressure washer with caution.
Stardrops (used as above).
Washing powder soda crystals (used as above).
French chalk or talcum powder and a solvent (to absorb the stain).
Fullers Earth, or cat lit (use only in the dry to absorb the oil).

DO NOT USE ENGINE DEGREASERS ON TARMAC AS THEY WILL DISSOLVE THE TAR.
BLOCK PAVING OR CONCRETE:
Biological washing powder, left to soak overnight, preferably after a warm day, then hosed off morning after.
Washing powder soda crystals (used as above).
Coca Cola, used as washing powder (used as above).
Neat Fairy Liquid (used as above).
Petrol, used as above (no naked lights).
Gunk engine degreaser.
