New Cars
Good: Stunning looks, good handling. Five-star crash test rating. 2.4 JTDM is a great diesel. 200PS 1750 TBi petrol from 2010.
Bad: No spare wheel as standard. Problems with 1.9 diesel.
Good: Stylish estate. Goes and handles just like an Alfa should. Strong performing JTDM diesels, Available with four-wheel drive.
Bad: Driving position could be better. No spare wheel as standard. High rear load lip. Problems with 1.9JTDM diesels.
Good: Sensational new mid engines sports coupe first revealed at Geneva Motor Show in 2011.
Bad: Not on sale until 2012, and rumoured to be £38,000.
Good: Beautiful and evocative styling backed up by a Maserati-sourced V8 that gives it real supercar pace.
Bad: Limited availability and all cars are left-hand drive only. By 2012 only 29 coupes and 13 Spiders registered in UK.
Good: Characterful looks. Interior feels good quality. Impressive MultiAir engines are very efficient. Rides well. Strong JTDm diesels. Q2 electronic differential is very effective.
Bad: Not much rear legroom. Interior uses Fiat parts. 1750 TBi Cloverleaf a bit disappointing and thirsty. Not as good looking as 147.
Good: Great looking and desirable, sporty image, great MultiAir engines, much improved from 2011.
Bad: Driving experience of original MiTo doesn't match the looks. Much better from 2011.
