Scheme name: Approved Used BMW.

Warranty period: 12 months.

What does the warranty cover? "Apart from routine service items like tyres, brake pads and discs, as well as any parts requiring repair or replacement due to normal wear and tear or age, your Approved Used BMW has unlimited mileage protection against breakdown and repair costs for both parts and labour for 12 months." The Battery and exhaust are also covered.

History check? "Every Approved Used BMW undergoes an independent check to verify its recorded mileage and vehicle history to ensure that the car has not been stolen or written-off, and is not subject to any outstanding finance agreement. A certificate confirming that these checks have been made is supplied with each vehicle."

Inspection? "More than 120 rigorous checks by trained BMW technicians. Full road test after which any mechanical faults are rectified using genuine BMW parts"

Breakdown Cover: Approved Used BMWs come with 12 months cover for motoring emergencies in the UK and continental Europe, so you're covered in the event of an accidental or mechanical emergency, 24 hours a day. The emergency service cover includes: roadside assistance or recovery of your car, car hire and redelivery of your car.

Exchange policy: If is unable to resolve a demonstrable fault arising within the first 30 days/1000 miles of your ownership (whichever is sooner), you will be entitled to an exchange, or a refund if an appropriate exchange cannot be found. 

Special features of the scheme: All-inclusive servicing is available. BMW Service Inclusive for Approved Used Cars lasts for two years or up to a maximum of 120,000 miles (whichever occurs first) and covers all of your vehicle's servicing requirements. Alternatively you can choose BMW Service Inclusive Plus, which in addition to servicing also covers maintenance items such as brake pads, brake discs and windscreen wipers.
