Jag X-Type or Mercedes-Benz C220?

I am planning to change my 2007 Mercedes-Benz C200CDI automatic as I have now done 65,000 miles. I am considering a 2009 Jag X-Type Sovereign auto or a 2009 Mercedes-Benz C220 auto with satellite navigation. I love the equipment and looks of the Jag and the price is £2000 less than the Merc. Which would be a better vehicle for 15-20,000 miles a year? I am unsure how the cars compare for reliability, which is important as I use my car for work. Does the Jag have a cam chain? The service intervals on the Jag are shorter but services are cheaper.

All the Jag engines are chain cam, whether petrol or diesel. All Mercedes-Benz engines are chain cam. W204 C-Class diesels have had some trouble with Piezo injectors, but long term I'd rate it as the more solid bet.
