Are the Volkswagen Polo 1.9 TDI or SEAT Ibiza Cupra 1.9 TDI prone to turbo failure?

How prone to turbo failure are the Volkswagen Polo 1.9 TDI and SEAT Ibiza Cupra 1.9 TDI? Are there any other known problems with these two cars and what should I watch out for when buying either of these secondhand?
