Any ideas as to why my Nissan Almera Tino's accelerator pedal is sticking?
My 2001 Nissan Almera Tino's accelerator pedal sticks when I am in a queue or stopped at junction, but never when actually changing gear when driving. I have checked the cable and it seems to be OK, and the pulley on the side of the 'carb' seems to be free-moving. The pedal is in line with the cable, and moves freely. I cannot see where the problem is.

Replace and re-route the cable. Sometimes they become unhooked and lie close to the exhaust manifold that heats them up and makes them stick.
