What suspension option should I choose for a new Volvo V90?

I am considering buying a new Volvo V90. I have read numerous reviews and had a test drive. I note that in addition to the standard suspension set-up there are two (cost) options available - rear self-levelling electronic air suspension and active four-c chassis four corner adaptive dampers with rear electronic air suspension. The car I test drove did not have either option fitted. Is it worth specifying either of these options? The car will be used as a family wagon and will have a mix of urban, suburban and motorway driving. In addition, three or four times a year it will be fully loaded (two adults, two teenage children, dog, boot and roof box full).

If you will ever carry loads you need the self levelling rear suspension. Obviously you'll get the best combination of ride and handling with the full air suspension, but it will, of course, be higher maintenance. Suspension airbags never did last forever as Land Rover, Range Rover and BMW 5-Series Touring owners have found.
