Should Ford's warranty cover my Kuga's leaky roof?

I have a 2014 Ford Kuga which has developed a leak on the passenger's side of the roof. My local dealership says they will look at it but the leak may not be covered under the three year warranty. They want to charge me £180 per hour for the diagnostic check, is this right? How can I be at fault for the leak when I have made no modifications to the car?

£180 an hour for a "diagnostic check" to pinpoint a water leak? They have got to be kidding. You can pinpoint it yourself by judicious use of masking tape where you suspect the water ingress: windscreen seal, door seals, aerial aperture, sunroof (if it has a sunroof).
