Is there a known problem with the Volkswagen six-speed gearbox, as fitted to my 2008 Jetta?

I have a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta six-speed with very few miles on the clock. The car is like new. I have experienced an issue with the synchromesh, where the gears clash on changing into fifth. Has anyone else experienced this?

We haven't heard of any problems with the Volkswagen six-speed gearbox but if it's only a few years old it will still be under warranty. Take it to a Volkswagen dealer and get them to take a look at it asap.
