Tyre/wind noise on Toyota Verso

My Toyota Verso is new, but seems to get a high level of tyre/wind noise at over 40mph. Any idea how I can fix this?

First try lowering the cold tyre pressures slightly to a couple of PSI below the manufacturer recommendations. Most excess tyre noise comes from overpressured tyres and the pressure in tyres rises by about 3PSI after 50 miles on the motorway.
