Porsche Macan or Cayenne?

We are considering buying a new Porsche SUV, but can't decide between the Macan or Cayenne. I cover 15,000 miles a year and diesel would seem to be the sensible purchase; however, with all the scare stories about diesel cars in the press recently should we be opting for the petrol variant instead?

The Macan diesel is EU6, but it's still worth considering the Macan S. All Macans are smaller and better to drive then the Cayenne.
