Out of warranty Kuga fault - Shouldn't Ford pay for repairs?

We bought a new Ford Kuga diesel in December 2009. The windscreen has not been glued correctly causing the electrics to blow. The bill was £1200 to dry out the car, replace the windscreen and fit a new BCMI module.

Ford were unwilling to help and the dealer we bought it from charged us labour costs at £60 plus VAT instead of £80 plus VAT as a good will gesture.

Have there been any recalls on this vehicle which we didn't receive? Can we take them to the small claims court even if the problem is out of their warranty period?

I'll add yours to this list, but it will be the first: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/ford/kuga-2008/?sect.../

If you can prove that the bonded screen has never been replaced then you have a case against the Ford dealer who sold you the car that the car was "not of satisfactory quality" when you bought it because the screen was not properly bonded to the frame.
