Buying a new A5 - petrol or diesel?

I'm going to buy a new Audi Q5 S-Line Plus with a manual gearbox. The 2.0T FSI(225) and 2.0 TDI (177) engines have virtually identical list prices. I do 13-15,000 miles a year and will keep the car for up to four years.

I'm aware of the potential DPF issues/timing belt costs, which wouldn't apply to the petrol. But 1) Given 90% of Q5s sold seem to be diesel, will there be a ready market for resale in four years and, 2) will there be much £££ difference in depreciation over that period?

The market is changing and diesel is not only becoming the expensive long term option but also a dirty word. The faults of high oil consumption and carbing up of VAG's 2.0TFSI have now been corrected with the EA888 engine and it's much nicer to drive than the diesel so I'd opt for the petrol engine.
