Do all BMWs get run flats as standard?

A year ago I bought a BMW 118d from a car supermarket.I assumed it came with run flat tyres but found out recently when I had it serviced and MoT'd that it did not.

I contacted the car supermarket about this (they only replied after my third email) and their answer was that some of their BMWs do not have run flat tyres (even if those models have no space for a spare wheel) and instead they provide an inflation kit (which my mechanic said were pretty useless).

If BMWs are supposed to have run flats as standard, should the seller of them not have an obligation to inform the buyers that the cars are not fitted as standard?

Usually BMW's 16-inch tyres are not runflats and the car comes with a tyre repair/inflation kit, so Car Giant has answered your question honestly. 17", 18" and 19" tyres are usually runflats except when the cars are fitted with cold weather tyres.
