Garaging a car for winter - should I disconnect the battery?

I own a 1995 Honda Civic, which doesn’t get used all that much. To keep the battery charged, I it out every other week, but I am now thinking of disconnecting the battery and garaging the car for the winter. Is there anything I should be aware of before I disconnect the battery?

You will lose the radio code and possibly other codings. Use a battery conditioning float charger to leave the battery connected to the mains.
