Can I get compensation from Renault after my Grand Scenic switched itself off?

I bought a Renault Grand Scenic and, after 30 miles, it switched itself off (lost all electrics and power) on a roundabout at 20mph, and I had to try and steer with no power steering to avoid crashing. It turned out the reason this happened was because the battery wasn't fitted correctly and was losing connection. Please advise if I should be entitled to any compensation for the stress caused by this?

If you want compensation then you should contact a solicitor who will advise you whether you are entitled to any.
