Should I buy an electric car?

I am considering purchasing a small electric car and have test driven the Nissan Leaf and the Renault Zoe. What are your views for a lady with mainly small journeys but the occasional longer one? It does concern me that there seems so few charging units about.

The Zoe is the best small electric car. But if you need to make occasional longer journeys then instead of a pure electric you need to be looking at a Toyota Yaris hybrid that comes in at about the same price as a Zoe, but without the £70 a month battery lease.
