Buying used car - diesel or petrol?

I am looking to buy a used car/SUV. My budget is around £11,000 and I do a short commute five days a week (under 2.5 miles) - will this cause issues if I decide to buy a diesel, considering modern DPFs?

No, you don't want a diesel with a DPF for this type of use.
