Why does my BMW unlock itself?

I have had a 2011 BMW X1 for six months. In that time on three occasions I have found the car unlocked and all four electric windows open. Fortunately each time it was at my house. Any idea what's going on?

Can happen if moisture gets into the windows and locking ECU inside the driver's door.
