Mystery petrol leak
My low mileage 1998 Mercedes-Benz SLK is only used in the summer and is always kept garaged. However, recently I have noticed a small petrol leak with drips from the offside rear axle area.
The garage floor is always dry and the leak only starts when I drive the car. Yet, there is no evidence of leaks after the car has been running for a while. My local garage thought it might be a porous fuel line but when they looked at it it was completely dry.

Might be the fuel line. Might be something to do with the carbon canister to prevent fuel fumes being emitted into the atmosphere.
