Should I replace my Jaguar XF with a Jaguar XFR?

My main car is a 5-year old Jaguar XF 2.7 diesel. I have loved the car but with annual mileage now of only 7000 (it has 31,500 on the clock) I am starting to think of replacing it with another XF, but petrol this time. The 340PS 3.0 supercharged V6 is the main option and I'm sure it should be good, though being such a new engine the car would have to be a new one.

My eye has been caught by a 20,000 mile, one-year old XFR with a sunroof and rear sunblind, which are options I'd choose. It is in red as well, which I like. Would I be being foolish to consider this? The fuel consumption makes my eyes water a bit but I can afford it.

Cruising long distances (and with a little bit of performance testing) I averaged 29mpg in an XFR, so they're not that bad. Obviously short distances will soon tug that down to 15, and annual VED is £475 compared to £270 for the 3.0V6 s/c.
