Can you recommend an MPV like the Meriva which is available as an automatic petrol?

My partner wishes to change her car and is rather taken with the Meriva (very practical, right size, high driving position, etc.) However, she would like an automatic and it appears that automatics are only available as diesels, which would not suit because she drives mainly short distances. What roughly equivalent alternatives would you recommend?
