How can I improve the soft suspension on my Mercedes-Benz C220?

I run at 2009 Mercedes-Benz C220CDI on 16-inch wheels with 205/60 R16 tyres. The build quality is excellent and the engine is powerful and frugal. It's a pity about the suspension, which is soft, vague and nosedives even under gentle braking. Can you recommend a reputable company that can upgrade the suspension? I have located only one, who suggests fitting Eibach springs to solve the problem at a cost of £400. Is this too good to be true?

Eibach springs would have been my first suggestion, but you will probably also need to replace the dampers as well, with Bilsteins or Konis. Don't replace the wheels and tyres as a first solution. Do the suspension first. Remember, all modifications have to be disclosed to your insurer.
