Should my new Audi A4 be using oil at just 1850 miles?

I recently purchased a new Audi A4 SE TFSI (petrol) which, after 1850 miles, gave a warning to top up the oil, and needed .75 litres. Having spoken to the Audi dealer they advised that this was normal for this model. Is this correct? I have had two previous A4's and didn't need to top up the oil between servicing.

This sounds perfectly normal for a brand new car - the first few thousand miles are about running in and settling down and sometimes extra fluids - like in this case - are needed. Doesn't happen on every new car, but it isn't uncommon. If it continues to happen, insist on getting it checked out under warranty.
