Which wheels and tyres would you recommend for my 2010 BMW 528i?

I currently own a BMW 528i SE, first registered in December 2010, which I am very pleased with. However, the tyres on the front are 245/40 R19 94Y and on the rear 275/35 R19 96Y. To replace either tyre is very expensive compared to my previous 2004 BMW 525i SE. I asked my local BMW dealer if there are options. The answer I got was simply that BMW does not recommend any changes because it could affect the safety of the vehicle, the speedometer/odometer readings and would be classed as a change to the specification of the vehicle thus increasing the cost of insurance. Can you advise me of suitable options and can I convert to one tyre size? An increase in insurance costs may be far outweighed by the saving in tyre costs.

Standard F10s come on 17-inch non-runflat tyres with an inflation kit in the boot that may be able to inflate a punctured tyre but won’t be much help with a shredded one. Optional 18-inch and 19-inch wheels come with the latest generation runflats.
