Is it safe for our five-year-old grandson to sit in the front of a Vauxhall Vectra estate?

My grandson travels in his dad's front passenger seat. He is under five. Is there any danger from the air bag in the event of an accident? The car is a 2006 Vauxhall Vectra estate.

No. It could save his life. The danger is to babies in rear-facing child seats, though obviously it is wise to have the seat as far back from the airbag as possible.

Far better than previous Vectra. Now with decent handling and an excellent ride. Plenty of safety kit. Roomy in the front. Big boot. Good looks.
