Are panoramic roofs any good?

I'm on the lookout for a 2010+ Ford S-Max or Galaxy 2.0 Ecoboost. I'm particularly keen on getting a car with a leather interior, but these seem to appear almost exclusively on Titanium X trim models - my issue with this is that I don't want a car with a panoramic roof, and all Titanium X models appear to have this feature.

Please could you let me know your views on panoramic roofs and whether it would be better to avoid a car that has these?

Panoramic roofs let a lot of light in and make a car more pleasant to drive. But they are obviously vulnerable to objects dropping out of the sky onto them. (This has happened to me.) Condensation isn't a problem on the roof because it doesn't affect your view out of the car, but the lack of insulation of the roof panel when the blinds are left open can lead to condensation on the windows. The answer is to always shut the blinds when leaving the car parked.
