New family car - Ford Mondeo or SEAT Toledo?

My daughter is looking at purchasing either a Ford Mondeo or SEAT Toledo as a family car. I would value your opinion on which would be the best overall car?

The SEAT Toledo is currently on offer at a £2500 discount, bringing the price of the 1.2TSI 86 S down to £11595: www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/deals/seat-discounts-tol.../ That's a very good deal. DON'T go for the base model at £10,000, go for the 1.2TSI 86 S. It's narrower than the Mondeo so will usually fit a garage, but still has lots of space.

Looks like a conventional saloon but is actually a hatchback. Huge boot space. Good quality and impressively spacious interior. Great value for money and an ideal family car.
