Can a hotel issue me a £100 parking fine?

I have received a £100 fine for parking in a hotel car park. I was a guest in the hotel at the time, should I still have purchased a ticket?

Depends on the terms and conditions of the car park at the hotel. First thing to do is consult with the hotel.
