New lease car delivered with bodywork damage - what should I do?

My new BMW 330D M Sport Touring was delivered a few weeks ago; it had two small stone chips on the n/s rear quarter panel, and a hairline scratch on the black gloss part of the door.

I corresponded with the dealer and lease company and so far no progress. They are still considering how best to fix the matter.

Is it appropriate that I may ask for the fault to be repaired within seven days, failing which I will arrange for it to be done at the local BMW dealer and charge the cost to the leasing company?

It's a leased car and the property of the leasing company. As long as the damage is noted as a matter of record then it cannot be your responsibility when you return the car at the end of the lease.
