Warning message on BMW - what is it?

I have BMW X1 and for the last 2.5 years have had no problems, however when I start the car now I get a coiled coil indication on the dashboard that disappears when the car starts.

This has not appeared during the last 2.5 years and I cannot find any information in the handbook as to its function. My dealer has confirmed that it is nothing to worry about, but not given me a satisfactory explanation for function. Can you help, is it something to worry about, and why has it just appeared?

It's the glowplug warning light telling you that the plugs are heating up. Don't turn the key to start until the lights go out.
