Which family car for a person with a back injury?

I'm currently driving a 2005 Renault Megane Dynamique, but I'd like to upgrade to something a bit more suitable. I had spinal surgery last year resulting in a neurological condition, so I need a spacious family car which is easy to get in and out of. It should be a five door in a reasonable tax band. I like the look of the Nissan Qashqai but I wonder if it would be too high and possibly out of my price range. Any suggestions?

After riding in the centre rear seat of a Nissan Qashqai for an hour I suffered a back injury. The very best car for entrance and egress is a Mazda 5 TS2, preferably a 1.6d on 205/55 Toyo J48 tyres. It's like therapy.
