Which tyres will give a more comfortable ride on my Mazda 3?

I have a Mazda 3 Sport shod with Toyo Proxes R32 205/50R17 89W. The tyres are rather low profile, giving a slightly lumpy ride. I wonder if you can recommend a deeper profile tyre for this vehicle?

You need to go down a wheel size to 16-inch and, sticking to Toyos, go for 205/55 R16 J48s. You can't put deeper profile tyres on the same wheels without altering the gearing and speedo reading, and possibly causing clearance problems.
