What would you suggest is a reasonable payout for our written-off Clio?

Last Thursday morning my daughter crashed her 2007 Clio 1.2 Sport with 33,000 miles showing. The insurers, Quote Me Happy, arranged for the car to be collected and taken to a depot. We are given to understand by the engineer that he is recommending the insurers to write it off. Tomorrow morning we expect to receive a settlement figure. Please give your opinion what would be acceptable.

Update: At the time I replied £3400 retail or £2250 trade plus £150 for the under average mileage, so between £2750 and £3000. In fact, Quote Me Happy lived up to its name and offered a settlement of £3500.
