Is Ford planning a replacement for the discontinued Fusion?

I have been advised by my local Ford Dealer that the Ford Motor Company has discontinued producing the Ford Fusion. Do you know whether or not it has any plans to produce a similar vehicle on the Fiesta wheelbase in the future?
