Other driver changing his story after an accident?

Whilst driving on the M27 a car in the offside lane aquaplaned and hit our offside. The driver said he lost control when he aquaplaned. He then denied five days later and said we drove into him from the nearside to the offside lane. What actions can we take to deal with this? The police attended as my partner driving was slightly injured.

Take the matter to court. If he lies in court he could face 9 months for contempt. Mention that to him.
