What could be causing my Vauxhall Meriva to 'shudder' when turning left?

I bought my Vauxhall Meriva 10 days ago and it has a few problems. The steering shudders when driving and when turning left. There is also a rattle on the left-hand side and the left indicator does not return. Do you have any ideas what these problems are? It is booked into the garage tomorrow but I just wanted to have a heads up on where I stand.

Without seeing the car, it's hard to diagnose problems like that and Honest John does not answer technical questions. You've done the right thing getting it booked into a garage - if it's up to three years old, it will be covered under warranty anyway. For more peace of mind before you go to the garage, you might want to ask the same question in out Back Room Forum.
