I need a cheap, reliable people carrier

My wife and I live in Portugal on our own, but are visited by families of our children and grandchildren. We need a low-priced but reliable 7 seat people carrier.

It would be used as a second car so fuel consumption is not critical, but it should not be over 2000cc because of the tax bandings. We DO WANT 'Climate Control' and even separately-controlled air conditioning for the rear seats would be nice.

I can choose between: Galaxy Mark II 2.0 diesel (130) Climatronic, Aug 2004; Honda Stream 1.7 VTEC March 2003 (really only 6½ seats); or Hyundai Trajet 2.0 diesel Climatronic Sept 2001 (costing £1000 less), all at similar mileage. I would also consider a Grande Scenic, but can find only very early models in my price range.

Which one would you buy?

The Galaxy. I think they were actually built in Portugal. But it's also the best vehicle. Have you ever tried to get into the rearmost seats of a Stream? And the Tragetdy came from Hyundai's 'before' period.
