MoT expired, but car not on road

My Porsche 997 is currently in a friends garage on private land. The MoT expired last month. I am currently abroad and have no plans to use the car until February 2013. The Tax Disc is valid until March 20 2013.
Am I breaking any law by not putting the car through it's MoT until February 2013?
When I do use it, the first drive will be to the garage to have the car inspected for it's MoT.

As long as it remains continuously insured while off the road you are legal until you MoT and re-tax it in March. But probably better to SORN it.
