Want to reduce wheel size from R18 to R16 on BMW 330D E 46. 2002
I want to replace my 18 inch wheels and tyres for 16 inch ones from 225 profile to to 205/55 R16/
BMW dealers are telling me the smallest wheel size that will fit my 330D is a 17inch, but I don't believe them. Most ebay sellers say 205/ 55 R16 will fit my 330D no problem.

I don't know if 16" will fit around the brake discs and calipers of a 330d, which will probably have bigger brakes than a 320i or 320d. My current 320d is on 205/60 R16s, not 205/55 R16s.
