Flywheel failure - who pays?

Just had a flywheel failure at 32000 miles and Citroen say that as the car has been outside the Citroen network it will not consider any liability. The car was owned by Citroen Leasing and then sold to a car supermarket from which I bought it. The car will be 4 years old in November 2012 and has only had 1 service , next due at 40000. Citroen said that the flywheel was not faulty.

I have an extended warranty for 2 years and they have paid something towards the cost but as they will only pay for none main dealer service it still leaves me out of pocket for about £700 .

Is there any advice that you can give please?

Not enough services whether carried out by Citroen or not. No one carries any liability for this. I'm afraid it's down to you.
