Mini or Polo?

I am privately selling my Audi A4 (S line 2008, 40,000 miles, 2.0TDI, perfect condition) in order to buy two cars for the family. Firstly, how much should I ask for the Audi? I am buying a Golf for £6500 and need to buy a small car with the remainder which I hope will be at least £7000.

Re. The small car, I have a 1hr motorway journey each way to work. Would you recommend a MINI or a Polo? Which model would you suggest and how much should I pay?

Use www.honestjohn.co.uk/used-prices/ to price your car. Better a Yaris or a Mazda 2 or a FIAT 500 than a MINI or Polo. All three are more reliable.
