Snow chains and winter tyres
I have a Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI with summer tyres fitted. Tyre size 205/55/R16. I have a set of snow chains that fit. I'm planning to get a set of winter tyres and Skoda have recommended 195/65/R15. My snow chains are design for a different size, to fit 195/70/R15.

As I can't try them yet I was wondering if the chains would fit? The profile is slightly different and I don't know how much it will affect the fit.

Probably. You'll just need to tighten them up a bit more. Obviously the 195/65 R15s means a new set of wheels as well as tyres. But they will work better than 205/55s in the snow.
