Thanks to Liverpool Victoria insurance for refunding part of my no-claim discount after an accident.

I was hit at slow speed on packed snow just before Christmas. That day, my insurer gave me details of the repair centre, which provided a replacement vehicle the next day. The Christmas and New Year holidays slowed things down but both the insurer and repair centre kept me informed of progress. I had to pay the voluntary excess when my car was returned but this was refunded a few weeks later. My renewal of the policy was increased by just over 20 per cent, but I understand that most premiums have risen. This week I had to read a letter from my broker twice. It said "Following settlement of your recent claim your No Claim Discount has been increased," and sent a refund of one third of the premium increase. I am insured with LV Insurance through Nationwide.
