Petrol consumption on a Hyundai i10
I have bought a 2009 Hyundai i10 auto 1.2-litreI am 72 years old drive very carefully (advanced driver) no mater how careful I am the range of the i10 is in the region of 260 - 290miles on 35L of petrol.
What do you think I am doing wrong?

34mpg - 38mpg is normal for a torque converter auto used for relatively short runs, especially in winter. The real average at :www.honestjohn.co.uk/RealMpg/Results?manufacturer=i is actually 37mpg.
